Tax Doo app for iPhone and iPad

The Idea
We have observed that most people of Pakistan are law-abiding citizens and they pay their taxes almost on a regular basis and here we are talking about the general sales tax GST. This sales tax is about 16% for now in our country. So how do we know if we are paying this money to our government?

Let’s try to get this idea from an example, suppose if you go to a restaurant and order food which is about 1000 rupees you will have to pay an additional amount of 160 rupees on it and this amount is deducted against a business registration number (NTN, STRN, etc.). As this tax is being deducted against that registration number, we need to verify if the registration number is an active taxpayer. Here comes the Tax Doo application in the game, you just have to scan the receipt and the application will detect the registration number from it and it will match it against the “Active Taxpayer List” of FBR. If the number is found and it is active you will be notified via a smiling face otherwise with a sad face.


The Purpose
The sole purpose of this application is to bring more and more awareness to people who are paying their taxes regularly but they are not sure if the tax is actually going to the Government of Pakistan
